Changes
I have been thinking long and hard about this blog and things in it. Don’t worry this won’t be a lengthy post it’s more of a decision has been made one. I am going to at the end of this weekend close the forum. I think a lot of what has happened there can be brought into this blog and make it better. I am always one to admit as and when things haven’t worked out well and this site really needs some love and attention.
The past few months have been somewhat insane for me, not a bad thing as it’s all from my own company work taking off - a good thing most definitely. As a result I find that the time I can devote and bolster my blogs (including this one) and communities, needs to be adjusted to focus on the things that can be worked better and not to spread so thin. As a result the forum on this site is going to go and this blog will benefit as a result.
That is about it that is going to change though, the flickr group and blog itself will not be changing. I want to use the group a lot more as it’s really got some great photographs from people and some of them are wanting to participate in the dog tails idea - of which I am really happy. So, by shutting down the forum (for now - never say never) I am going to be looking at this blog itself.
Originally, this blog was meant to be about dogs and that subject will never change. I find myself though wanting to be looser with the confines of what I am posting. There are things I like and things I don’t - it’s all part of a blog’s life of it’s own that it always takes on. I plan on doing a lot more dog tails and things that happen with our own dogs. It’s through owning a dog that you learn and our current two teach me daily so they are going to more and more become the element here. I’ve experimented with various types of posts and want to keep that up and not restrict myself to what I will / won’t be posting.
I just like to thank everyone who did join the forum and please bring the conversations into the blog or flickr group now, there is always a discussion ability attached to that. Requests for the site, posts, articles and other things that were done via the forum can now be done through this blog itself. I look forward to this and it’s not a negative it’s more a trimming, focusing and developing the idea that was originally started. I never like doing things by half and hence I want to focus woof bark wag and let it develop into it’s fullest.
