About

In short woofbarkwag is about dogs. In the long, it’s a place where people can come and not get looked at oddly for being barking mad or kennel eyed over their dogs and other’s dogs. It came about due to the fact that I now live with two dogs - the newest of these Dillon our puppy was the trigger for something which I always “meant to do”. The original idea was to chart the life of these dogs. A blog apart from my semi-professional one Diary of a website which focuses on design and the web with a dash of my life and general commentry.

As with all ideas woofbarkwag has grown beyond this over the time. Rather than just being a place where I can tell my dog tails, I want it to be a place where anyone can talk freely dog without being labelled the mad dog person. Dog’s aren’t to everyone’s tastes and often us dog owners can bang on a tad too much about our little waggies. Woofbarkwag is a place where people can safely indulge in full on barking mad dog conversations. There is forum and also a flickr group which anyone can be a member of.

It’s not just about dog stories either, the focus is also on training, behavior and any area about owning dogs. I have a background in animal psychology and a love of learning about dogs as a species and this blog reflects that. I also round up regularly the doggy news from around the web. Woof bark wag is about everything waggy tailed.

My name is Tammie Lister and my dogs are called Barley and Dillon. Barley is a 6 year old red fox labrador (think ginger) and Dillon is a 2 year old black labrador. They are both from the same breeder and from the Gamebeck gun dog line. Barley is Dillon’s mum’s half sister so sort of an auntie. In the past I’ve had a wide range of dog breeds from collie, west highland terrier through to cross breeds. These are our second and third dog as husband and wife, my husband is called Simon. We are both as barking mad as each other.

So, that is woofbarkwag let the barking begin.
