Aspen’s dogtail:
Aspen is a smart puppy, he really is. He learns commands within a few days, will do anything for a treat, and is a generally well-behaved dog. However there are occasions where we wonder what goes thru his little puppy head.

For the past few weeks, Aspen has been responding to things he hears when we watch TV. Whenever he hears a doorbell ring, he will run to our front window and check to see who is here. Last night we happened to come upon a holiday commercial where different doorbells played Jingle Bells. From the moment the first doorbell sounded, he was up and running back and forth between the window and door for 5 minutes. Even if we called him back, he didn’t believe us and waited patiently for us to open the front door to prove that no one was there.

Doorbells, whistles, even dinosaurs and movies he responds to. While watching a battle scene from Lord of the Rings, he got right in front of the TV and started barking and growling when the elephant-like creatures came on screen. T-rex roars? Same thing.

We think it is funny to watch and are trying to understand why he responds to what he does. We may never know. But it is just one more thing that makes Aspen all the more loveable.

So, that is Aspen. Do you want your dog featured on woofbarkwag? Just contact and your dogtail can be told.
