Dillon’s buzzy nemesis

It’s not an easy life being a puppy you know. There are all sorts of perils out there and things out to get you. Only today I was happily minding my own business playing a game of throw the rope toy in the air and see if it hits you on the head and then was attacked on my left front paw by an evil buzzy thing. This of course meant my playing had to stop and I had to put on my best hunting face and get to work.

I was stalking through the carpet to no avail and even tried the sneaking up on the TV from behind technique only to get told off as I hurtled into the cabinet. I must say it’s rather off putting when you are in the middle of battle and the grumpies tell you to stop winning the battle. Undeterred I continued despite their obvious giving into the buzzy thing. I think it had got them under some buzzy mind control as they were plainly ignoring me and not helping at all.

My next technique was one Barley taught me, the sneak up whilst staring at something else to fool the buzzy thing that I was really not that interested - I even added a couple of ear scratches to really put it off. It was a close shave as during one particularly good scratch I did get rather distracted from my plan.

Barley seemed unimpressed by my leaping over her as I tried to save her from becoming a buzzy thing. It would have been nice to be told thank you but she never does and as usual just gave me the stare - I think it means well done so continued. It took a long time almost 10 minutes in grumpy time I think until I finally got to a stand off. The buzzy sat on my rope toy claiming it his, that was the last straw and it had to be conquered. With a quick jump I oddly enough found myself on the sofa - I am still unsure how I got there and nobody was even seeing my wonderful jump. I barked to make sure people knew it had been chased out of the room and I had won. The grumpy still seemed unimpressed and made some noise like air was escaping - they were talking into that noise making plastic thing they wedge against their head and talk to themselves with (must remember to eat that brick at some point it looks tasty).

I was victorious for now, but certain the buzzy thing would return. I will be waiting as always and guarding despite nobody notice. I am king hunter master of the buzzy things after all and it’s my job to rid the house of them. Until we meet again my buzzy nemesis.
